Youth Group

All teens in grades 8-12 are invited to be part of the St. Malachy Youth Group. We do a variety of spiritual, service, social, and athletic activities. For more information, please contact Steve Swank in the Parish Office.

Youth Ministry Goals

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

To draw them to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Upcoming Ministry News

Attention teens: mark your calendars for Called By Name on Sunday, April 30, from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Saint Paul Seminary. Called by Name is an event for high school guys/girls to explore the universal call to holiness, as well as vocations to Priesthood and the Religious Life. Sr. Bethany Madonna (Sisters of Life) will give the keynote, and she and Fr. Matt McClain will lead the guys/girls breakout sessions. Ben Walter will also be there for Mass and to play during our time of adoration.

We are looking for young adults ages 21-39 to become "Youth Ministry Leaders" for our program. If you enjoy working with middle school and/or high school age youth and feel you could be a role model for these teens, please contact Steve.

Saint Malachy teens are also invited to the Diocese Dance-Off being held on Saturday, April 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Joy Parish. Cost is $10 per dancer. For more information, contact Steven Swank at 412-771-7480 or
